| I have studied the paranormal for over 10 years. I have seen ghosts and I do believe in life after death and I do not need any evidence to determine that for me. Because I already know from a soul's vantage point that this is a huge cosmos and my soul is eternal. My point is I would like to hear different views on what the point of paranormal investigation is. Is it a quest for life after death? I know it's interesting beyond all doubt. But what's the point? What is your point? What are you looking to know and to find out? If you find a ghost do you think a ghost could tell you? lol. To me they are babbling fools mostly who are to chicken to go into the light and leave the Earth.. Not all but a good bit I bet! I believe we are surrounded by teachers and ancestors and departed loved ones who visit us on a constant basis from the other world. Ghosts to me means a spirit who cannot leave the Earth. What does it mean to you? I find Ghosts interesting but I am not looking for proof of life after death. Are you? Is that why your doing this? I'm glad your a part of it by all means it's wonderful really. But I really wanna know more on why it is your doing it and what you think about.. I have always leaned towards UFOs because well I have seen UFOs and odd beings before. So I figured I would learn about all that through research and boy is that interesting if you take the journey!! I respect Ghosts and Paranormal Investigators of course.. Treasure them! No question of that! But I wanna hear why your so interested in it and why you do it? What do you hope to learn? Tell me. |

For myself I find it rather interesting and entertaining at times.
Like VLT, I need no confirmation of my own experiences, as I trust my own perceptions far more than I trust the perceptions of others.
I think most of it comes from living in a world where science was made "God." Yet, science itself, (when it is honest), will admit that it has been wrong more often than not.
Debunkers will not even apply the same ruler to science that they will happily apply to the paranormal.
They will happily point out the misses, ignore the hits, and say that proves it is all crap. If the same yardstick was applied to science we could say the same thing.
I like seeing science being used to confirm that which I already know for myself. But I need it about as much as a duck needs an eagle up its ass. |

I believe investigating the paranormal lends it credence. People like you and me who don't need proof because we already have it are great, but there are those who don't believe, or don't want to believe. They want it scientifically based.
But think about it for a second...if you can actually scientifically verify proof of ghosts, you are also proving the existence of life after death. Think about what this opens up, and the implications for religion, spirituality, not to mention theories of matter and energy. The ramifications are truly amazing. The ONLY way to do this is by using scientific means. There are groups out there, mine included, who are trying to find ways to, not so much communicate with intelligent entities, but to help assist *them* to communicate with *us*.
Scientifically, a theorem can only be proven once it is duplicated in a test setting. This is also something we are working on as well. Examining the situations that best allow an entity to come through, to somehow make it measurable.
Ultimately, of course, our goal is to unequivocally prove the existence, with proof that even the most sceptical of sceptics cannot shoot holes in. Not to mention, it's freaking amazing fun |

The point of paranormal investigation.... To get your own TV show.
Or that's what the networks will have you think. |

| I think it's a rush, and a blast, and it's nice to have my feelings validated, as well. |

I tend to trust independent investigators far more than I do the TV ones.
Understand, I'm not accusing, but I think the push for "results" in the name of ratings could lead to the temptation to cheat and manufacture evidence where there was none.
If that should happen, and it is discovered, it would give the black eye of distrust to all paranormal investigators...not a good thing, to be sure. |
